excerpt of todays work

Joe realizing that once Paige got an idea in her mind there was no way to dislodge it was trying to come up with every possible thing that could and would go wrong. The only way to keep her safe was to see the holes before she fell into them and dragged him down with her. First, problem that needed to addressed was that they couldn’t leave Tom. Tom was family. You don’t leave family, ever, and Tom would turn into a shell of a person. Joe may not be overly sensitive but dealing with two emotional people he understood that they feel every damn thing. For a Scryer that was a taxing exercise. The way Joe looked at it though was that if he could get through a day with two touchy people and not have a major migraine then he was better then most Scryers. Joe took a quick glance up at Tom and nearly fell off the rock. Tom's aura was a bright blinding white. Tom was positively terrified. The last time he saw Tom this scared they all became a lightning rod. “Tom what's wrong? What did you see?”

“Hmm? Oh, nothing really. It was strange. Whoever it was,” he casts a covert glance at Paige, “was in a cave, I think. They were hurt and scared. I think they were dieing. If they weren’t then they sure thought they were. Gods the smell it was awful. I got no details save that it was dirty, like the walls and floor were dirt.” Knowing every detail was important Tom closed his eyes and took a cleansing breath.
